Cultural trips are a great opportunity for students to learn about American culture and practice English outside of the classroom.

ºìÐÓÊÓƵcultural trips vary each semester and are subject to change without notice.

Examples of past trips include:

• Visiting New Mexico's Capital City, Santa Fe 

• Touring Native American Pueblos

• Hiking at National Monuments

ºìÐÓÊÓƵInitiatives are extra-curricular clubs that students may participate in as they wish.

These initiatives are organized by ºìÐÓÊÓƵinstructors to give interested students more opportunities to practice English, learn about American culture, and meet other students.

Information about how to sign up to participate in these initiatives will be shared with students after they begin classes.

Initiative topics vary each term depending on ºìÐÓÊÓƵinstructors and student interest.

• Conversation Partners

• Dance Club

• Hiking Club

• U.S. History Club

We encourage our students to explore all New Mexico and the United States have to offer while they are attending CELAC!

Local events and activities are recommended throughout the program term for students to explore the local community. These events are optional and may involve outside fees.

ºìÐÓÊÓƵshares these activities through email announcements, classroom flyers, instructor announcements, and social media to give students greater access to the community.

Please note that these extra activities are not organized by ºìÐÓÊÓƵand are not included in ºìÐÓÊÓƵtuition.
